MARINE PROPULSION

“On the water, reliability is everything”

In an application such as boat propulsion, with its demands for reliability and space constraints, MCI looks for engines that stand out for their ease of installation – thanks to a wide range of options and accessories – and a clean, simple design that allows quick access to any point on the engine. That’s why we’ve chosen John Deere propulsion engines, which also generate high torque at low revs, develop power faster and propel the boat at higher speeds from the start. They are easy to maintain, quiet running and low-vibration engines.

John Deere propulsion engines for all types of applications: marine, with a power range from 60 to 559 kW; auxiliary generator set, with a power range from 40 to 417 kW, and 1500 rpm (50 Hz) and 1800 rpm (60 Hz) versions; and for driving auxiliary systems on vessels such as pumps, winches, cranes, etc.

Our engines have all the approvals and certifications required today: European Directive 97/68 EC for industrial applications, IMO, DNV, RINA, CCNR in marine applications or TA-LUFT for generating sets.

GROUND PROPULSION

“Failure is not an option”

MCI is aware of the needs presented by manufacturers of industrial vehicles: an engine that offers a perfect balance between high performance, fuel economy, reliability and durability in adverse environments, as well as appreciably low noise and vibration levels. All this, in compliance with the Emission Regulations in the most varied applications: loaders, excavators, drills, crushers, compactors, compressors, forklift trucks, etc.

In the power range from 36 kW to 677 kW, MCI offers John Deere engines, compact engines that achieve the highest power levels thanks to, among other things, various turbocharger configurations and advanced electronic systems.

Our engines, equipped with particulate filters, meet the standards of the Stage V regulation that came into force in 2020. They also have all the approvals and certifications required today: European Directive 2016/1628-EC for industrial applications, IMO, DNV, RINA, CCNR for marine applications and TA-LUFT for generating sets..

In the development of engines for off-highway applications, John Deere has been an expert manufacturer since 1949, with more than 5 million units produced to date.

JOHN DEERE is also a leader in the agricultural and forestry sector, with a wide range of engines for machinery, sectors in which the American brand has been active for 180 years.

ON-SITE ELECTRICITY GENERATION

“The strong silent type”

The heart of a generator set exposed to intensive use -prime- and adverse environmental conditions is its hallmark. For this reason, MCI looks for engines of proven reliability and durability, easy to install, which, together with a low noise and vibration level, make up a generator set ready to be taken anywhere in the world.

This requirement is met by John Deere engines, also available as power unit with radiator, engines with maximum power density in small sizes and with a wide range of options depending on the application. John Deere genset engines cover a power range from 30 to 500 kVA PRIME, with displacements from 2.9 L to 13.6 L, and in 50 Hz and 60 Hz versions.

Depending on the country of destination and the application, the generators are available both non-emission certified and certified in compliance with the European EU Stage V and American EPA Tier 4 standards.

MCI distributes diesel engines manufactured by JOHN DEERE POWER SYSTEMS. With more than 5,000,000 units manufactured, their durability and reliability characteristics, together with more than 4,000 service points worldwide, give an exclusive guarantee to any equipment powered by a JOHN DEERE engine.
